2026 Semi-Quincentennial Scavenger Hunt


The Lincoln County Semi-Quincentennial Scavenger Hunt is divided into two regions to make participation easier and reduce travel time:

  • Region 1: Northern Lincoln County

  • Region 2: Southern Lincoln County

Each region includes 20 unique historical or notable sites to explore.

How to Participate:

1. Pick Up a Map Scavenger hunt maps are available at the following locations:

  • Your Local Banks

  • Town & City Halls

  • Can be downloaded at the Lincoln County website on our America 250 page. (www.lincolncountywy.gov)

2. Visit the Sites Each map packet includes:

  • Map with locations marked

  • Site descriptions

  • Latitude and longitude coordinates

3. Document Your Visit

  • Take a selfie (individual or group) with the site visible in the background

4. Submit Your Entries

Prizes & Recognition

  • Visit 15 sites (per participant or family):

    • Receive a Lincoln County Semi-Quincentennial Challenge Coin

  • Visit 20 sites in one region or a combination of the regions:

    • Receive a full set of challenge coins, including coins from each participating incorporated city or town

Awards Ceremonies

Celebrate your achievement at one of our regional events on July 4th:

  • Region 1 (North): Afton Civic Center

  • Region 2 (South): Diamondville Park
